Clara Noteboom
Corsica - Clara Noteboom, 100, died at Good Samaritan Society in Corsica on Monday, December 14, 2020. Celebration of life will be held at Grace Reformed Church in Corsica on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10:30 AM. The family would appreciate all that attend wear masks. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home.
Clara Noteboom (De Vries) was born April 7, 1920, in Douglas County, SD to Gerrit H. and Allie (Menning) DeVries. She attended country school near Corsica. She married Andrew (Bud) Noteboom on June 20, 1939 and they shared 64 beautiful years together. To this union two daughters were born: Shirley and Nancy.
Clara was a lifelong member of Grace Reformed Church, where she was active in Ladies’ Missionary Society, and taught Bible school and Sunday school. She was a 25 year member of the Corsica Extension Club and Friendship Club. In honor of her 100th birthday, an Executive Proclamation from the State of South Dakota named April 7, 2020 as Clara Noteboom Day and she became a member of the Good Samaritan Century Club.
