Bob Jones advances to playoffs with win over James Clemens
The Patriots defeated the Jets 6-2 on Thursday.

The Bob Jones Patriots captured the Area 8 runner-up spot and a spot in the playoffs with their 6-2 win over James Clemens Thursday.
Home runs from Slade Alford and Max Soliz helped the Patriots build an early lead. Thanks to a complete game from Thomas Ballard, Bob Jones held the Jets to only two runs.
Ballard allowed one run on four hits, striking out four in the win.

The Bob Jones Patriots continue to prove why they re considered one of the best teams in the state. The Patriots (23-3) dominated the Jets 15-0 at James Clemens on Tuesday.
Emmah Rolfe continued her dominance on the mound with three strikeouts in the first inning.
The Patriots, currently number two on MaxPreps Alabama rankings, are 5-0 in area play.
