Des Moines, IA- Bob Brueck and Blaul Lofts were honored at the 2022 Main Street Iowa Awards. Main Street Iowa hosted the annual awards celebration Friday, April 22nd, at Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center in Des Moines. The awards honor outstanding accomplishments, activities and people making a difference in the state's Main Street districts. This year, 13 projects were selected to be recognized from the 76 competitive nominations submitted. 43 leadership award recipients were honored throughout the evening for their significant and inspirational leadership and volunteer contributions to their local Main Street programs. Bob Brueck was honored and awarded a posthumous Leadership award for his vision and assistance in preserving, renovating and reinventing buildings in Downtown Burlington.
