milley s deposition to the january 6th committee. what were some of your takeaways from what you read? reporter: so this interview contains some of the most explosive comments of any interview the committee has done so far and i really was shocked by this. so one of the most the most notable things he said was he was so alarmed by the events of january 6th that he ordered his staff to collect boatloads of documents so they could be archived for future investigations and he even went to extraordinary lengths to classify them at the highest levels so only those who needed them will actually get to see them. another thing he said was that officials in the trump administration actually discussed recalling and court-martialing retired military officers who wrote editorials that were critical of the president and milley said he advised them not to do that, and then another thing that really jumped out to me was that leading up to january 6th milley said that he and other top
