Earlier today, the Bavarian manufacturer introduced the Concept XM. As the name suggests, the prototype is a performance-oriented (that would be the "M" part) SUV (and that the "X" one) that instantly slots itself right at the top of the hierarchy of M models when it comes to power output.

For example, while criticized for its front-end design the E63/64 M6 is a V10 highlight of its era. If you can find one with a manual or build it, that s worth its weight in gold. And what about the BMW M635CSi / M6 (E24)? It s one of the most 80s shapes ever.
Right now, the 6 Series name belongs to the model called the Gran Turismo or simply GT. It used to be a 5 Series until the new generation came out in 2017. But as a weird hatchback-sedan-crossover mix, it wasn t very popular and they canceled it in several markets including America.

BMW has always pushed the design of its cars in new directions, but things have really gotten out of hand after the debut of the X7. We always knew all the smaller SUVs were going to receive weird grilles of their own, and it s almost time for that to happen with the X4. 2 photos
The second generation of the smaller Sports Utility Coupe is nearing the middle of its life cycle, which means a facelift is on its way. This has already been previewed by its sister car, the X3, which leaked out in China.
Numerous small revisions are planned for both models in the usual places: front and rear bumpers, grille, and lights. Not all X3 and X4 models will look the same since BMW offers a multitude of equipment lines and trim packages.

The reality is a lot more tedious and involves countless back-and-forths between the design department and the company s engineers, a process that can (and usually does) take years. So, what that means is that by the time the public can react to a new design language that has just debuted on a new car, a few other upcoming models have already passed the point of no return; they ll be sporting similar visual traits, and there is no way to prevent that.
