Michal Kowalski, from London s Blooming Haus demonstrated his skills for residents at Leeming Bar Grange care home in North Yorkshire. Blooming Haus started with a small pop-up shop in Chelsea and have since blossomed on to the floristry scene as ‘floral engineers’ - with a reputation as one of the UK’s most innovative floral design studios. Residents and staff were invited to gather together flowers and foliage chosen by themselves and follow Michal’s demonstration to create their own displays.

During your daily constitutional, you’ll have spotted amid all the mud and the puddles the first blooms of spring have arrived. Snowdrops and daffodils pulse through the trampled soil, offering a longed-for hint that brighter days lie ahead. Following that grey interregnum between New Year and new life, social media feeds are now full of joyful images of blooming bulbs.
As we’re currently stuck in our homes, what better way to brighten up tired rooms than to fill them with seasonal flowers? It’s time to bring the spring in!
