Salon owners and employees are once again feeling the financial impacts of COVID-19 restrictions.
Last week, personal services businesses such as hair salons, barber shops, spas and body art establishments were forced to close their doors temporarily due to the rising number of positive COVID-19 cases in the province.
Heather Acker, owner of Beauty & Bloom Salon in First South says despite searching, she has been unable to find financial assistance.
She hopes the government will be able to provide assistance to those who’s income has been effected by the latest lockdown.
“It’s not just me, its a lot of small business in general that are looking for stability,” Acker Explained. “At the end of the day, the bills have to be paid.”
