JOSHUA TREE, CA The remains of a 37-year-old mother who went missing near Joshua Tree National Park last summer have been found, the San Bernardino County Sheriff s Department confirmed Friday.
Partial human skeletal remains found earlier this year in a desert field, about a quarter-mile east of the 5200 block of Danby Road in Wonder Valley near the park, have been confirmed as that of Erika Ashley Lloyd who was reported missing June 17 by her family.
Lloyd was believed to be traveling alone to the remote high desert park, and was last seen three days earlier in the Northern California city of Walnut Creek, where she lived, according to the sheriff s department.

With Napa, Solano, San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties joining the rest of the Bay Area in a regional stay-at-home order, many made a last minute dash to dine outside one last time or to get their hair done as the temporary lockdown goes into effect at midnight.
SAN MATEO, Calif. - The Bay Area s ICU availability improved slightly Thursday. But another four counties joined the state s stay-at-home order, which further restricts many businesses.
That includes restaurants and hair salons.
Port Chester salons, gyms can reopen with 25% capacity despite being in orange zone

The Port Chester community protested the full closure of salons and gyms due to orange zone restrictions, and now they have the green light to reopen starting Monday.
A protest held last Monday, spearheaded by Nathanael Torres of Bloom Salon, drew dozens of local business owners.
Their call to reopen Port Chester got them a meeting with local officials.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo then announced Friday that salons and gyms in orange zones can reopen with 25% capacity.
Bloom Salons says it s excited to welcome back customers.
