That included a high temperature of 71 degrees Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service office in Lincoln. That reading, reached shortly after 3 p.m., tied the record high for a March 9, set 103 years ago. The temperature Tuesday was the peak of ascending highs that reached 62 degrees Sunday and 70 degrees Monday. The usual high temps this time of year are in the mid-to-upper 40s. As the weekend approaches, temperatures are to trend toward the seasonal, albeit still above the norm. But rain and wind are expected to increase. Especially wind.
