Trevor Williams sent three winners to the track on Saturday (Sept. 23) at The Loop for a training hat trick, including Irish Melvin, who dominated in the $10,800 four-year-old stake, winning by 8-3/4 lengths over his field of seven other pacers.
The Loop held another 9-dash card, and the feature harness racing event was the second running of the new Manitoba Four-Year-Old Stake. Irish Melvin (Mystery Chase) took the lead from the word go and never looked back. He opened the race with a brisk 30-second opening quarter and mirrored that time in the second panel.
The stable of Trevor Williams has dominated the harness racing meet at The Loop thus far, but on Saturday, Sept. 16, Williams shared the spotlight with the Mason clan.
