Six BJP activists injured in bomb attack in Bengal

Kolkata Six BJP activists were injured, two of them critically, in an alleged bomb attack by the rival TMC workers in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, police said on March 6.
Family members of those injured alleged that a few members of the local Trinamool Congress hurled bombs at them while they were returning home in Gosaba area of the district from a marriage ceremony late on March 5 night.
Police, however, claimed that the accident happened inside the house of a BJP activist where the crude bombs which were being manufactured went off accidentally.

New Delhi, Feb 13: The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorist involved in the killing of 3 BJP activists last year in Kulgam.
The Anantnag police in a midnight operation made the arrest in the Samba Sector with the help of the local police. The arrested operative has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Rather.

Rather is associated with The Resistance Front, a wing of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. The police say that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and the Resistance Front were behind the killing of a BJP leader and two of his associates last year.

Some BJP activists had allegedly raised the slogan at a party programme in West Bengal s Hooghly district on Wednesday, following which district police registered a suo motu case and arrested them late at night, an officer said.

KOLKATA: Tension prevailed in south Kolkata on Monday evening after unidentified miscreants, carrying TMC flags, hurled bricks and stones at BJP activists when they were conducting a mega roadshow near Rashbehari Avenue and Charu Market area.
The roadshow, which commenced at Tollygunge tram depot, was set to culminate at Rashbehari Avenue often referred to as the backyard of chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
