Camino, a restaurant known for its craft beer, pierogi, and burgers and located at 434 S. 2nd St., is preparing for a move to 631 W. National Ave. Camino also has a location in West Allis and is known for a big selection of craft brews. Its current list includes 34 choices, including Indeed Brewing’s Pistachio Cream Ale, New Barons Brewing Co-op’s Pecan Porter, and Southern Grist Brewing Company’s Tangerine Black Currant Gauva Hill, a sour beer. Ludwig said there won’t be a dine-in option, but customers can browse through Riley’s retail offerings while they wait.
Inside Riley’s roughly 650-square-foot shop will be a photo booth, dog-themed merchandise and a television that will display adoptable dogs from a variety of local rescues.
Sandwich offerings will include meats like brisket, chicken and steak along with vegetarian and vegan selections. Meals will be prepared using a sous-vide cooking style.
The sandwich shop will serve local drinks provided by fellow dog-loving businesses, including wine from the New Glarus-based Bailey’s Run Vineyard & Winery.
Riley’s will also stock beer produced by Black Husky Brewing.

Good City Brewing is gearing up to open its third taproom, this time at Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa. The Brewery will take over the 8,000-square-foot building previously home to ABV Social Space, which permanently closed its doors at the end of 2020 after four years of business. Jacobsen has launched in the past two years. However, it will be one of two locations, including Muskego, open for business following the recent closure of its flagship location in Kenosha as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to the pandemic, the Kenosha location had become the business’ catering hub, landing several corporate catering gigs throughout the Milwaukee area, Madison and Chicago suburbs. Much of that business was lost when office buildings emptied this spring.
Jacobsen, who also owns Lucky’s at the Lodge bar-restaurant in Muskego, sees the Milwaukee location as a “strategic point” for catering business if and when downtown activity returns. The biggest draw, he said, was the expansive back kitchen, ideal for large orders.
