Im Stephanie Lin highway to 42 in concord is back open in the northbound direction after Police Activity shut it down for most of the morning. Kron fours Charles Clifford is live at the scene for us with the latest on this. Charles. Well, the good news here is that the situation result was resolved peacefully and no one injured and traffic is getting back to normal. Its going to take a look at some video here from earlier now. The Concord Police Department Says about 7. 30, this morning they found a man apparently in distressed above willow, pass road on an overpass on highway 2. 42. And the northbound lanes so they shut down northbound lanes. The shutdown will pass road underneath the overpass and they spent several hours very peacefully talking to this man. You might build to see him in this video wearing a black hoodie. There. T

Doesnt of them still here after responding to reports of 2 of their fellow officers were shot. And then let me show you video. This all went down at around 10, 30 last night when officers came to this location here. Its the extended stay. America to a disturbance call. They were going to obviously check it out when all of a sudden shots ring out from the suspect. The officers, they returned fire. Ultimately 30 people were rushed to the hospital. We do know that those 2 officers were hit by gunfire. Thats when they called for backup. And thats why so many officers came to the scene and still remain at the scene. Let me show you video of the hospital. We understand that the officers went to individual hospitals. So they went to 2 different ones, one treating the trauma the other for injuries. Tonight at 5 30s, some scary moments as a woman and her daughter were caught in the crossfire of a shooting in oakland to now, police are working to try to find out why the shots were fired and by whom we spoke with the shaking up father ad husband who showed up to help. Pretty scary knowing that she was in his accident. I my daughter actually in the car while the gunfire was going. Yeah. From what i was told, the other people jump to another vehicle and drove off. This all happened near 98th and cherokee. See there. You saw the car on its side there. According to the womans husband, she tried to drive away, but their suv was that hit by another car and flipped over the woman and her daughter managed to crawl away from the car. Police are investigating, but so far have not identified any suspects nor a motive. Anyone with info is asked to contact the Oakland Police department. By the way, the woman and her daughter are expected to be ok, physically. They were taken to the hospital just
