– The Estrella Warbirds Museum at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport in California is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and will commemorate the milestone with a special gala fundraiser on Oct. 15.
The flight, featuring a fully restored Douglas C-47 airplane known as Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber, was organized by a collection of nonprofit groups as a way to salute veterans for their service.
– Area residents will have the thrill of seeing a restored WWII C-47 aircraft with local veterans aboard in the skies over SLO County on Saturday, Aug. 27. The sightseeing flight in the 19- passenger “Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber” is being gifted to Honor Flight Central Coast California by the Estrella Warbirds Museum and plane owners the Gooney Birds.
