Birds Eye cuts plastic across frozen vegetable range Frozen food manufacturer Birds Eye is to remove 379 tonnes of plastic from its Natural vegetable line as part of its move towards 100% recyclability. From this month through to the start of 2021 the producer will replace existing packaging with recyclable materials while reducing excess packaging – making pack sizes smaller but keeping the same amount of vegetables per pack. The refresh will apply to six of Birds Eye’s products: Field Fresh Supersweet Sweetcorn; Field Fresh Garden Peas and Sweetcorn; Field Fresh Select Mixed Vegetables; Field Fresh Country Mixed Vegetables; Birds Eye Garden Peas; and Birds Eye Petit Pois.
