After years of advocacy by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee (MWFC), established under the Working Journalists Act, has joined the organisation in urging the Nepali government to increase the minimum wage for journalists by 40 per cent, with immediate support from government ministers.
