Start to our morning but actually we have a good bit of clouds in place, a lot of low clouds and some patchy fog this morning. Thats why you cant see it on our satellite returns. We have areas of misting which seems like a fine rain. It has, in part to do with the fact the fog is in place so when you have that moisture content so densely packed in the air, you can see the water kind of collecting on the windshield as you drive this morning but just if youre driving early on. As the hours progress the temperature warms and well get rid of the fog. Were at 66 degrees in philadelphia and 65 in mt. Holly. 65 in wilmington and 64 in allentown. Pretty consistently mid to upper 60s this morning. A warm start for this time of year and fairly easy as we get into the afternoon hours for things to warm up way above average. From this look it looks like another kind of day. It really wasnt bad. Weve been having mornings of fog, of mist. We sunshine. Today were going to see that even more so. This is a live view current. There are some thin fog out there and then this very cloudy sky overhead. And thats the case for everyone. Some of us see more densely packed fog right now. Lets talk temperatures. We are much warmer than we should be for this point in the year. Closer to the average high. 66 in philadelphia. Were at 65 in mt. Holly. Compare this to yesterday morning and were warmer than yesterday morning and yesterday in the afternoon we made it to the 70s. Temperatures will climb on up to the 80s. Its at 67. Thats average. Sunny down the shore. A gray kind of day in philadelphia as we see the skyline behind me. Meteorologist krystal klei is tracking the changes to our weekend weather including a warmup, krystal. A warmup and by the afternoon, i know its hard to believe, but sunshine as well. Right now this pick looks better than it did even 30 minutes ago. See the tops of city hall here and some of the buildings in the distance. The low cloud deck is starting to raise. The fog is starting to thin a bit and that will continue trending over the next couple of hours until the sun starts to break the clouds apart and then well have more sunshine in the afternoon.
