Shazam: Fury of the Gods will find Lucy Liu going head to head with Zachary Levi.
According to Variety, actress Lucy Liu is the latest Hollywood A-lister to sign on to star in the highly anticipated
Shazam sequel,
Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
Liu’ involvement with the DC superhero flick comes hot on the heels of news that Helen Mirren has also joined the cast of the sequel.
Both Liu and Mirren are set to take on villain roles for
Shazam 2. Specifically, they’ll be playing Kalypso and Hespera, respectively. Both villains are daughters of Atlas as well as sisters.

Washington [US], February 26 (ANI): Actor-singer Rachel Zegler has joined the cast of Shazam: Fury of the Gods , the superhero sequel from New Line and DC Comics.
As per Variety, the upcoming sequel will also feature actor Zachary Levi. It is being helmed by David F. Sandberg from a screenplay by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan.
Peter Safran (The Safran Company) and Geoff Johns (Mad Ghost Productions) are producing the forthcoming film. Shortly after the news of her casting broke, Zegler tweeted, I am in my key role in Shazam 2 era.
“I’m assuming there are almost like showrunners for these mega-series, right?”
The director said he could only speak for Shazam, but admitted he had a lot of creative control.
He said: “I think the biggest disagreement on Shazam was some song choices.”
