Going day by day, wondering how you are going to make rent, somebody comes with a check for 1,500 out of just the kindness of his heart, thats something very amazing. It is one of 16 downtown restaurants gifted money from a program called meals to martinez. I think a lot of people when they hear about this, it doesnt make sense to them, they feel it is too good to be true. The local attorney donated 30,000 from the restaurants to the law offices with the help of the nonprofit main street martinez, the meal program is giving out 600 meal vouchers to people in need redeemable at one of the 16 re

The governor, tonight, signing the first state law in the country, requiring california schools to allow transgender students to use the bathroom and locker room of choice. And to play whichever sports team, male or female, to participate with. The bill that the governor signed is modeled by a policy in effect here in San Francisco schools. That policy says, transgender students have the right to access teams and facilities they identify with. Transge transgender students say this will make it easier to go to school.
