Northnortheast wind is tracking the moisture coming in from the west. Windchills will catch your attention. I feel like 33 is the combination of temperatures in the 30s and a bit of wind out there. And swallowed a car. The main broke on 1st street between clinton and willow. Eyewitness News Reporter Lauren Glassberg is there. The jackhammering has subsided at least for now. The digging continues right at the corner of willow and 1st. Digging continues and thats happening all the way up the block as well. Further up the block, thats where that car lit really sank in to the street. This happened before sun up this morning. The water on 1st street between willow and clinton still off as crews worked to fix the water main here and then theyll be working to fix the actual street. I pull up, roads closed, and theres a car just popping out of the sidewalk and theres the entire street flooded. Reporter this is how 1st street looked earlier this morning. A water main break pumping water out and a car drowning in a massive sinkhole. About 6 a. M. The car alarm in the apartment right up there. So looked outside, saw the street was flooded. Only took a few seconds to figure out it was my car
Saturday night, im sure, will forever stay in my memory. 17yearold Brian Rodriguez and 16yearold noll herrera died after a speeding car crashed into the friends walking on the side wake saturday night. Sidewalk saturday night. Paterson driving with a list of violations stacked up was speeding driving down jfk. The car neared 26th street. It veered to a avoid cars stopped at the red light, crossed over the southbound lanes, and mounted the sidewalk, striking three teenagers, the car then drove went airborne and crashed against a wall of 2625 kennedy boulevard. Apartment building. Paterson, making his first appearance in court today facing a long list of charges. Eric paterson was charged with two counts of death by auto one count, assault by auto, degree. He was also charged with speeding, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license. At this point, the investigation is on going. Developing now, a two alarm fire ripped through a six story Apartment Building in soho. Firefighters were able to dwet the flames under control get the flames under control and put that fire out. Kristin thorne is live on the scene with more details. Reporter hi there, rob. They did it rather quickly. More than 100 firefighters responded to this fire. Two firefighters and one resident of the building did suffer minor burns. This is an exclusive photo we have here at Eyewitness News of the roof of that building now completely burned out. You can see there is nothing left to it. The fire broke out around 5 30 this morning in the six story residential building on thompson stre
