When the COVID-19 pandemic struck just over a year ago, jobs were lost, and already-busy parents were suddenly tasked with overseeing their kidsâ educations, some having to quit their jobs or at least put work aside. Even the pristine, and wealthy, Jackson Hole felt the pain of one of the pandemicâs many byproducts: food insecurity.
Organizations of all types stepped up their efforts to help those in need, including local churches eager to find a way to keep their neighborsâ stomachs sated. Two such Jackson churches, Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church and Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole, had to get creative to continue serving meals to the community. And with the help of teams of committed volunteers, they have thus far succeeded.
