It is a frightening situation for dozens of people in south tampa a 6yearold found the gun in the mothers diaper bag, took it out and fired a shot. It happened while the park was packed with people yesterday. It is a miracle no one was struck by that bullet becky rhiners friend was in the park when the shot rang out. They were very scared. You dont know where that shot was going to go. It could go into you or me or any other child here. Especially in a crowded park. And it was a sunny afternoon, very loaded with kids and parents. Tampa Police Arrested Ricardo Mendez for storing the gun in tampering for trying to throw the gun in the bay when he found out the police were on the way. Napolitano and her reaction. Reporter uc students have been protesting tuition hikes and Janet Napolitano is tired of their antics and heres what she had to say when she didnt know her mic was on. [ screaming ] [ inaudible ] this happened at a meeting at the Mission Bay Campus where protestors were standing on chairs and taking off clothes revealing the words, student debts. And while she called this stunt crap, as you just heard, she said this during the very same meeting. They want to be sure their voices are being heard and i want to commit to them their voices are being heard. She is calling for tuition hikes of 5 every year for five years unless the uc system gets more money from the state. She and the governor are trying to work out a deal.
