Over 42,000 security personnel, including Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), Bihar Special Armed Police and Bihar Police officers, will be deployed during the third phase of polling in five Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. Additionally, 18,000 home guards and district police force personnel will be stationed at polling booths and in sensitive areas during the polls. Live webcast will be done at polling stations to prevent bogus voting. Cameras have been installed at all polling booths for surveillance. Satellite phones, bomb disposal squad, wireless sets, drones, cavalry, and boats will be used as per requirement. Basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets, medical kit, chairs or benches, electric supply, and lighting will be provided at polling stations.

Amid reports that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may rejoin hands with the BJP, the Bihar government has transferred 79 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 45 Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers in the state.
