Hours after it refuted reports of the death of RJP MP RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin, Tihar jail official have now informed that the former MP died due to COVID-19 today. Information has been received from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital about the death of Mohammed Shahabuddin, an inmate of Delhi Prisons. He was suffering from COVID-19 and was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital on 20th April 2021, Sandeep Goel, DG of Delhi s Tihar prison was quoted as saying by ANI.

Former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin died at the age of 53 in a Delhi hospital

New DelhiFormer Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Mohammad Shahabuddin has died in a hospital in Delhi. The Bihar Bahubali leader reportedly died from COVID-19, however, there is no official confirmation on this yet.
Mohammad Shahabuddin, who was serving life imprisonment for the murder, died at the age of 53.
The news of his demise came after the Delhi High Court directed the AAP government and the jail authority to ensure proper medical care and care of Shahabuddin.
Justice Prathiba M Singh had said that doctors would monitor Shahabuddin’s health status and treatment for the care of COVID-19 patients and, if necessary, consult senior doctors of the hospital as well.
