Well, police themselves had to put out notice right on the Washington Township Police Facebook page, to say, hey, we will ease the tensions and any fears by telling you that School Officers will be highly visible for remainder of the week and probably after and wrote quote we can confidently dispel rumors a gun was brought to school here at the high school. It has been brought to the administrations attention that there are racial slurs especially on social media from other students, not necessarily against the student, but toward another race. After 10 30 this morning. Investigators say once the repo man started moving the van a woman got out of it and started an argument. Were told she threatened to call her boyfriend. Tow truck driver said you arent doing anything. Reporter that boyfriend did come to the scene. He also had a gun. Its sad that it happened. Reporter the police say the repo man was first pistol whipped by womans boyfriend so he turned to walk away. When he did he heard glass shattering behind him. Thats when the repo man pulled out his pistol and there was a gun fight. The womans boyfriend would be shot in the chest and arm and died at the hospital. A dog was caught in the crossfire and died as well. This point breeze neighborhood cant believe this escalated to the point someone is dead over a reason like this. Its a sad world out here. But i have to tell you, authorities were very careful tonight on camera, because they say the inmates are watching so they wanted to choose their words wising. According to officials just after 10 30 wednesday morning, they received a call about a hostage situation. Involving prison staff. Authorities say four prison Staff Members were being held hostage by inmates. We put all the resources we have to bear to get our employees out. Reporter john carney and members of his Law Enforcement team went ons at the first staff member was released at 2 25 wednesday afternoon. I talked to the families. As you can imagine, its been difficult for them before 8 00 p. M. , Authorities Say another staff member was released from vaughn correctional, both Staff Members were treated at the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Authorities also say 27 inmates were seen leaveing from the building where the hostage situation is taking place. B
