Thats when we could be severe thunderstorms take shape with damaging winds and large hail is possible. Heavy rain could produce flash oo so far, we have seen a few sprinkles. Nothing severe about that. You could see scattered showers in the pocono mountains where first thing this morning we did have thunderstorms. The main threat is from a line of showers that is moving through western pennsylvania. Its approaching State College and williamsport. Its moving to the east at 30 miles an hour which will put it in williamsport just after noon. Two men chosen yesterday to serve on this jury. Seth williams was confidence when he walked into the courtroom. Hes accused of taking gifts in exchange for favors from him. The 50yearold has denied the charges and remains District Attorney during the trial. He is not running for reelection. This is a high profile case. Presented the first problem for lawyers yesterday as they picked the jury. A group of pedestrians. And police say there are casualties. Happened within the past few hours near a mosque. One arrested, police are not saying what the motive may have been. Several hundred people were in the area after attending prayers as part of the holy month of ramadan. Police called to the scene just before 12 30 a. M. London time. They are tight lipped about this like others in london. They declared the crash, quote, a Major Incident and closed much of the area to regular traffic. But the Muslim Council said that the injured were worshipers who just had prayers at the mosque. Its just two week was a three i. S. I. S. Supporters rammed a rented van into pedestrians on London Bridge and rampaged through restaurants and bars. They killed eight people and wounded several dozen others as well. Afternoon and evening. The first is a flood watch coming through, we could have heavy downpours on poor drainage area roads and parking lots and things like that. Some of the storms that roll through today and this evening, could be severe and there is the chance, in fact, of numerous storms coming through, at least a line of them at some point in the afternoon and evening starting out north and west andy ending up at the storm. Theres the area for strong, gusty thunderstorms. Theres the outside chance that tornadoes pops up with some of the storms, these are serious enough storms to take cover from as they come through. I wouldnt be surprised if this gets extended east and south into delaware and south jersey, as well as we go into the day and evening. The storm prediction center, this is the National Outlook from the folks in norman, oklahoma. They have the entire central portion of the region and all the way back through the Lehigh Valley and the poconos in an enhanced area which means numerous strong thunderstorms possible. Any storms that form could produce strong damaging winds gusts and hail. Theres an outside chance of an isolated tornado. The bigger chance is Straight Lined winds. Small chance of a tornado. Ive got this pushed off to the north and west, out by harrisburg and pottstown you see storms pushing toward the northeast and getting closures toward poconos. Allentown not yet, but later in the afternoon thats definitely a possibility of theres a littl
