$25 billion for a border wall in exchange for protection but the president walked away for that deal. at the urging of the amnesty crowd, there s a reason they would oppose this new plan. not only does this fail to address daca and wiping out the status of a million immigrants. the other problem is that they really appropriate funds. they did that under president reagan where they can really roll back to the funds so need to have those funds for the border wall. that s when the president ran in on. i think there is a deal to be made if you want to include, i think conservatives may push back a little bit but they understand that we want the wall and i think that something the president can go back to you and still promote but here s the deal, they have their solutions to this matter and they don t want any solutions to this matter.
so you know where the two sides of staked out their positions. the president says he has been cleared by the mueller report. democrats are saying there were limitations on the special counsel. what is the truth lie here? i don t think there were any limitations as you know, he is a respective prosecutor, he issued thousands and hundreds of subpoenas among thousands of documents and he found what he found but now there are people who don t like what he found so they want to keep going. jon: that s why democrats are pushing for appearances by special counsel mueller and more testimony, talking about impeaching the attorney general. the most important thing is accountability for everybody. not just president trump, but in terms of attorney general barr looking into the investigation as to what happened or why they investigated in the first place,
jon: there were some fbi agents slipping some information to his cronies. lindsey graham on the republican side says he is not worried about what attorney general barr might release, listen to this. the people who are worried about this i worried about being exposed for taking the law into their own hands. it doesn t surprise me that the people we are looking at don t want transparency. we are not compromising national security here, we are trying to create a system to make sure this never happens again. jon: he is talking about the dossier becoming relied upon by a court to investigate a presidential campaign and ultimately a president. if the shoe were on the other foot, if william barr were working for a democratic president, would he be as aggressive in investigating? i do think so. having worked with this guy, i first met him during the noriega
the obama administration made excuses for iranian behavior because i just wanted to make sure that that deal happen. what the president the danger that the president will allow the tail to wag the dog, he wants a deal so much with north korea that he will excuse the kind of behavior at the north korean dictator is now using. julie: they do make a point that there has been no long-range missile test, those happen more times than we can count so there has been progress, and that i think is the point that is the president has been noted as a dealmaker that perhaps that is part of the deal although you re saying you don t concede and don t let these short-range missile test fly because you are only allowing them to sort of have the upper hand. all i m saying is you have to be careful that you don t allow the benchmarks to slip. as i say, president trump
up talks with japan s prime minister shinzo abe saying he hopes to make big moves on trade soon as missile test by north korea divide the two leaders. good morning, i am jon scott. at a joint news conference, president trump sounded off on the trade war with china saying the u.s. isn t ready to make a deal, not yet anyway. he also refused to back down from his positive outlook on north korea insisting he is not worried despite his own advisors saying of the north is in violation of u.n. resolutions. i m in no rush at all. in we have our hostages back. we are getting the remains and very importantly, but no nuclear testing for two years. as far as china is concerned, they want to make a deal. i think they probably wish they had the deal they had on the table before they try to renegotiate it. it would take in tens of
