Ardith Lorraine “Ardie” (Gulbro) Rotto, 85, of Bemidji, MN passed away on Sunday, May 9th, 2021 in her home at Neilson Place Senior Living.
Highly beloved and respected as a supportive and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and coworker, Ardie was born May 6th, 1936 in Spring Grove, MN, the daughter of Bennie and Myrtle (Solem) Gulbro. Known for her big, loving smile, Ardie grew up in the village of Highlandville, Iowa, nestled among the bluffs of driftless country, where her family owned and operated the Highlandville General Store and post office located next to South Bear Creek. As a child, Ardie enjoyed playing the piano, the trombone in the marching band, and the organ at Big Canoe Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed playing softball and helping out at the family store with her brothers and sisters.

An Alta Vista woman, 84 year old Katherine Kate White, died Wednesday. A visitation will be held at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton on Friday, 4-6pm, followed by a 6pm funeral service. A public luncheon will be held Saturday at 12noon, burial Saturday at 2pm at Calvary cemetery in Alta Vista.

A Decorah man, 46 year old Nathan Iverson, died Tuesday. A visitation will be held from 10am to 12noon Saturday at Big Canoe Lutheran church in rural Decorah. A graveside service will follow at the church cemetery. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling the arrangements.

A Decorah woman, 89 year old Shirley Arneson, died Thursday. Private family services will be held at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah. Burial in Big Canoe Lutheran cemetery.

A memorial service for a Manchester woman, 78 year old Doris Nuss, will be Friday (Jan. 29) at 10:30am at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester. Inurnment at a later date in Oakland cemetery.
There will be private family graveside services, with military honors, for 86 year old Clifton Christianson of Waukon, to be held at Bethlehem Presbyterian cemetery in rural Postville. Martin Grau funeral home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.
