the majority oversight and accountability on issues like this are coming. bill: mike emanuel in washington. keep us posted. julie: after working 40 years as a nurse there is a texas woman you re about to meet saying she lost her job for refusing to take what is called implicit bias training. a two-hour course that would have required her to admit to being racist. joining us now laura morgan. so you ve been a nurse for 39 years. you have always cared for all your patients equally. the bias training calls you a liar saying you need to admit to being racist in order to keep your job and that s a mandate you refused. tell us what happened. thank you, julie, for having me this morning. i am honored to be here. implicit bias training does operate on the concept that all
so i just think we over simplify things when we say the court decides things for political reasons. bill: nice to see you. we ll speak very soon. thank you, andy. julie: all right, more of your taxpayer dollars going to a friend of anthony fauci at the center of the wuhan lab leak allegations. bill: medical professionals being fired for refusing to say they are racist during their bias training. what is that about? we ll talk to a nurse who lost her job refusing to go along with that request. julie: plus a massive refugee camp in syria giving isis terrorists a new base to train fighters. getting ready to launch new attacks against america. we need to change our strategy regarding this refugee camp. it is a breeding ground for the next generation of isis fighters and we have a head in the sand strategy.
here s history, here s reading, writing, and right arithmetic. and it s sad we tell black kids essentially, you can t get anywhere unless a white person get gives you an opportunity to. what have your twins been told? i try not to talk about them because that s their own lives. i m in charleston, and i m three blocks from the slave market where the majority of slaves came into america. here, slavery and the history of slavery and racism is embedded into our culture. we have to acknowledge it. but we shouldn t be teaching our kids that, one, white people are inherently racist, because that s not true. we need implicit bias training. we need tolerance, inclusion, and awareness to go into the world and to communicate and connect. and we are preparing our kids for that. what s wrong with that. if crt is bad, show me a
them that you see their problem their way and that you re going to fix that for them. and that s why they put in the bias training. and that s why that needs to be there. even and it s never a bad thing. okay? you re a park outside of philadelphia. you re going to have a diverse audience. i think it s a good thing on every level. howard, can i hit you with something else because of course. if this person in that costume is identified, google searches in the future are going to pin this on him or her for the rest of their professional life and i m not convinced it was an act of racism and yet if you take the hit and say we re going to have sensitivity or training of some kind, you are now branding the r word on that young person if it is a young person for the rest of their life? that seems unfair. and that person has not been named by name or gender. and i don t think they should
have to think of health care access, equity, food instability, unstable housing, transportation. there are an assortment of reasons why this is existing right now in the united states. so when we look at all of those reasons, i wonder how much is this addressed in medical school? how much of this something that you and your colleagues talk about? because full disclosure, i ve talked with friends of mine in the medical community that said i didn t realize it until maybe i was in that situation as a patient, and that it wasn t intentional but maybe black women aren t listened to in the same way. why? yeah, i mean, i think that we have to think about infrastructure racism and implicit bias. this is why there are many efforts across the country at different medical schools changing the curriculum, increasing the bias training, actually having health care disparity electives, making sure that this information is
