The Congress is hopeful of soon finalising the Lok Sabha poll seat-sharing arrangements with the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) allies Aam Aadmi Party and Trinamool Congress, sources said on Friday, days after the principal opposition party arrived at an understanding with the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
Faisal told The Indian Express on Friday that the party high command has put on hold the decision on Bharuch after he wrote a letter to Gandhi. The AAP, meanwhile, has already announced its Dediapada MLA Chaitar Vasava as its candidate from Bharuch.
The leaders voiced their dissatisfaction soon after reports on the two parties finalising their seat-sharing alliance in various states, including Gujarat, emerged Thursday. The parties are expected to announce the names Friday.
