New Delhi: Demonstrations are being held across the country in view of Bharat Bandh called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) on Friday against rising fuel prices and provisions of GST. Several protesting Kisan unions and around 40,000 trade associations have extended their support to the bandh.
While making an announcement regarding the bandh, CAIT issued a statement saying, We highly regret such a dismal attitude and picture of the GST which has compelled the trade union leaders attending the conference to call for a Bharat Trade Bandh. The Confederation also expressed concerns over the soaring diesel and petrol prices stating it was making the transport business inviable.

Bharat bandh today: Commercial markets across the country are observing a shutdown due to the Bharat bandh called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).
