Injured Tigers expected to recover before Test series

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials said on Monday that they are confident that they will be able to avail the service of injured Test trio, Mominul Haque, Nayeem Hasan and Abu Jayed Rahi, in the practice game ahead of the upcoming West Indies Series.
West Indies are due to arrive on January 10 to play three one-day Internationals and two Tests while they are expected to play a four-day practice match from January 28 in Chattogram ahead of the Test series after completing the 50-over fixture.
Bangladesh are expected to announce the squad for the series before the national training camp scheduled from January 7.

Skipper Mahmudu-llah Riyad played the decisive hand to help Gemcon Khulna overcome Gazi Group Chattogram by five runs in the final of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur yesterday.
Bangladesh s T20I captain hit a polished, unbeaten 70 to fish his side out of trouble and post a competitive 155 for seven. Chattogram, led by Mohammad Mithun and the form team in the tournament, fought till the very end courtesy of a sparkling 53 from Shykat Ali, but fell short in the end.

DHAKA, Dec 17, 2020 (BSS) Gemcon Khulna is determined to come all guns blazing despite the absence of their key player Shakib Al Hasan as they take on Gazi Group Chattogram in the final of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup tomorrow (Friday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The match starts at 4.30 pm. Country’s new sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the stadium.
Shakib flew to the USA after the first Qualifier game in which Khulna beat Chattogram by 47 runs to move to the final straightway, due to be with his ailing father-in-law. However his father-in-law passed away before he reached there.
Mushfiqur apologizes to Nasum for his misdemeanor on field

DHAKA, Dec 15, 2020 (BSS) Mushfiqur Rahim apologized to his Beximco Dhaka teammate Nasum Ahmed for misbehaving with him twice on the field during the Eliminator game against Fortune Barishal on Monday.
The Dhaka captain Mushfiqur Rahim at the same time also sought apology to his fans and spectators, through a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Dhaka won the match eventually by nine runs to move to the second Qualifier but Mushfiqur’s rude behavior to his junior teammate sparked a widespread criticism.
Mushfiqur, also the former Bangladesh captain, appeared to punch and throw the ball to Nasum on two occasions during that match.
