75-year-old betty haislip is driving her pt cruiser east on third street. 41-year-old albertina hughey is driving her subaru north on ed win c. moses boulevard. 42-year-old scott tegtmeyer is calmly crossing the intersection. the next 12 seconds changed three lives. that moment is captured by a red light enforcement camera. it was recently installed by dayton police to reduce crashes caused by drivers ignoring traffic signals. i was driving my subaru forester and i was probably going about 35 when i approached the intersection. i looked up and i actually saw a man crossing the street, but we made eye contact and it was clear that he was going to, you know, get to the other side before i entered the intersection. then a pt cruiser comes out of nowhere. when she attempted her left-hand turn she hit the blazer, causing it to go airborne.
