Food drives on Montour Trail
Food drives benefiting the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and Greater Washington County Food Bank are scheduled on the Montour Trail.
Donations of nonperishable food items, paper products, household and hygiene items will be taken. Monetary donations are not accepted, nor are glass containers.
Collections are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at:
⢠Piney Fork Road at Wastewater Treatment Plant, South Park Township (Mile 37.8), June 5. Rain date is June 6.
⢠George Washington Elementary School, 515 Clifton Road, Bethel Park Branch, June 19. Rain date is June 20.
Electronics recycling
The Pennsylvania Resources Council is launching a pilot program in May to collect electronics for recycling on designated weekdays at two Michael Brothers Hauling & Recycling locations, including 901 Horning Road in Baldwin Borough, just outside of Bethel Park.
