WCIT opens Saturday at 3 sites - LEBANON – Addie Grace Porter s walk-off homer to open the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Lebanon High to a 7-6 come from behind home win over District 9-AAA softball rival Beech Tuesday evening. The win moved the Lady Devils to 8-13 on the season headed into four games Friday and Saturday in the Wilson County Invitational Tournament. Beech scored five runs in the top of the third, only to see LHS battle back with two in the bottom of the fourth and four more runs in the fifth to seize a 6-5 advantage. The Lady Bucs knotted the score at 6-all in the top of the sixth when a one-out single by MacKenzie Likeness drove in Brianna Faulk who opened the inning with a leadoff walk.

Lebanon 13, Wilson Central 10 (8 innings) GLADEVILLE - Lebanon scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to lift the Lady Devils to a wild 13-10 win over rival Wilson Central Tuesday. The District 9-AAA season-opener featured 30 hits, 15 per team, five errors and seven walks in a near three-hour marathon game. LHS struck quickly with five runs in the top of the first, then added a single run in the second for a 6-0 lead. Wilson Central responded with a three-spot in the bottom half of the second, then three more in the fourth and sixth innings. With the game tied 10-10 after seven, Lebanon s Alaina Smith rapped a one-out double in the top of the eighth.
