Ive had the opportunity to read it already. Its one of three books i read cover to cover. I dont read it quickly. The reason is, first, it is extremely well written. It is graceful prose of an oldfashioned sort, and it is wonderfully researched, what i was taught in graduate school to refer to as a revisionist work of history, that is all good works of history if theyre original are revisionist in some way, but hes telling us a new story about the coming of the revelation in massachusetts.
