The White House and U.S. Department of the Treasury on Monday announced how much money states and cities would see from coronavirus relief funds, including for Mississippi.
The funding, already approved by the Congress as part of the American Rescue Plan Act, is meant to supplement economic losses at the height of the pandemic last year.
The state of Mississippi will see just over $268 million in funding, according to the treasury department. The funding is part of a total $19.5 billion package to help state governments recover from expenses related to the pandemic
Mississippi s largest cities will see an allocation of over $100 million, which is part of a separate $45.6 billion dedicated to cities across the country.
