In the Western youth MP race, NRMs Edson Rugamayo defeated six other contenders after garnering 1,419 votes beating his closest competitor independent Arnold Turwomwe who happens to be the son of minister Betty Kamya.
In Mbale, NRM’s Bernard Odoi beat five others to be declared Eastern Youth MP while NRM’s Henry Okot is the Northern youth MP elect.
