Could Alexander Skarsgard's Randall Flagg Live On In Future Stephen King Adaptations? The Stand Showrunner Has Thoughts

CinemaBlend As The Stand miniseries unfolded across nine episodes from the end of last year into the early weeks of 2021, one thing became very clear: Alexander Skarsgard is a tremendous Randall Flagg. Much like how his brother, Bill Skarsgard, perfectly embodied Pennywise The Dancing Clown in Andy Muschietti’s IT, the actor brought the powerful antagonist to life with the precise palpable charisma and disturbing sense of danger that the character possesses in Stephen King’s novels. Unfortunately his final scene in the miniseries is the last we’ll see of Skarsgard in the role for now, as the Paramount+ exclusive was always designed to be a limited affair – but that doesn’t mean that the showrunner isn’t still holding out hope that we could see him come back someday.

'Clarice,' 'SEAL Team' Eye Move to Paramount+ From CBS

‘Clarice,’ ‘SEAL Team’ Eye Move to Paramount+ From CBS Rick Porter Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the two dramas, produced by CBS Studios (MGM also produces Clarice), are in discussions to move to Paramount+ next season. The ViacomCBS streaming service is continuing to bulk up its catalog of original series, and the two CBS shows could bring some potential built-in audience with a move. Paramount+ and CBS Studios declined comment. A move for SEAL Team and Clarice also potentially opens up some real estate on CBS, which has already renewed nine hour-long dramas and ordered four newcomers to series for 2021-22. Sources say

WHAT IT S ABOUT: After a man-made virus called Captain Trips wipes 99% of mankind off the face of the planet, a small group of survivors in the American heartland are left to pick up the pieces and build a new civilisation. Even with most of humanity dead, the final remnants of humanity are once again divided, but this time by far more than just political squabbling. With loyalties divided between the saintly Mother Abagail Freemantle (Whoopi Goldberg) on one side and the devilish - perhaps literally - Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard) on the other, what s left of humanity are drawn into a supernatural battle between good and evil with the final fate of humanity hanging in the balance. Based on the acclaimed best-selling epic novel by Stephen King.
