Egyptian giants Zamalek will be slapped with a transfer ban by FIFA at the end of the month unless the club complies with a court order from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Zamalek have been given a period of 30 days within which to pay around $1.1 million (R16.4 million) to former player Benjamin Acheampong or risk being handed a transfer ban by world football s governing body.
That comes after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled in December that the five-time African champions had unlawfully forced the Ghanaian striker into breaking his contract with the club in 2018.

Egyptian giants Zamalek could be sanctioned with a transfer ban or relegation after duping Benjamin Acheampong from more than $1-million (R16m).
The 30-year-old striker was ordered to receive a payment of an estimated R16m from Zamalek by the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) over a controversial contract dispute dating back to 2018.
After scoring two goals in six games Acheampong terminated his four-year contract after just 11 months at the club, citing the five-time CAF Champions League winners not paying him correctly.
