President obama today continues his twoday trip to minneapolis. Yesterday he pledged to help that state in their recovery from massive flooding over the past month. Reportseapolis tribune that the president told a town hall audience yesterday that they will have a Strong Partner when they know how severe the damage is. I told the governor we will be there as we get some clarity about the damage and what needs to be done, obama said. The Dayton Administration is currently preparing a federal disaster request that could eventually free of federal aid. Middle class economics works. The president touted a number of plans that had been leaked or slowly rolled out on the weeks prior of this speech. He called for shifting the tax burden away from middle class families better chk, improved sick leave, equal wages for men and women, Free Community college and a National Minimum wage increase. Nothing helps families make ends meet like higher wages. Thats why this Congress Still needs to pass a law that makes sure a woman is paid the same as a man for doing the same work. Its 2015.
