Melfort, SK, Canada / CJVR Today s Best Country May 13, 2021 | 5:00 PM The challenges of 2020 and what to expect this upcoming year was the focus of the 2021 Nipawin and District Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting (AGM) over Zoom on Thursday. “Twenty-twenty was an extremely challenging year for the business community and the chamber was no exception,” Nipawin and District Chamber of Commerce president Ben Paskaruk said. The chamber hasn’t been able to hold their regular in-person events during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We would normally use those events to generate revenue that we use to operate,” Paskaruk said. “Our membership fees only cover the very basics, and we need those events in order to run the chamber as we would like. We have secured enough funding to stay afloat through this difficult period.”
