Devastating. It happened in an instant. This man camping with his own family when awakeen just after 4 this morning by tremendous sound. I heard a loud crash. And obviously it was a tremendous that came down and crushed 2 people in a tent. And heard a lot of screaming and wasnt quite sure what was going on. Large limb from black oak had fallen on a tent at the popular Upper Pines Campground at yosemite. Park ranger rush to the scene but too late. Unfortunately there were 2 young people in the tent minor under 18. Tree branch fell and struck them and unfortunately they died.
