The Matlacha/Pine Island Fire Control District is a career fire department protecting our community. Your fire department provides many services, including, fire suppression, basic life support, rescue services, marine response, vehicle extrication, fire prevention programs, public outreach/education and much more.
The fire district has four strategically placed fire stations to provide the best and fastest response to the community. All four stations are staffed by at least two firefighter/EMTs that are ready to respond and provide care as needed 24/7, 365 days a year. Each station is equipped with a fire engine that responds to any unforeseen emergency. Each engine carries 1,000 gallons of water, firefighting equipment, extrication tools, medical supplies and much more.
