WASHINGTON, June 9. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden extended US sanctions against Belarusian officials by another year, signing a relevant decree and notifying the US Congress about it, the White House said on Tuesday.
According to the document, the actions and policies of certain members of the Government of Belarus and other persons continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. They undermine Belarus’s democratic processes or institutions, he said.

From June 3, US sanctions will come into force against enterprises of the Belneftekhim concern and some other Belarusian companies (Naftan, Belarusian Oil Trading House, Belshina, Hrodna Azot, Hrodna Khimvolokno, Lakokraska Lida, Polotsk-Steklovolokno, Belneftekhim USA).
Enterprises that cooperate with sanctioned Belarusian companies are advised to complete any transactions with them by June 3. Otherwise, they may already fall under the sanctions.
