More than 700 people have signed a petition to preserve a historical bridge threatened with demolition.
Bellway Homes has applied for planning permission to build 373 new properties in zone seven of the Elsea Park development, the final area left at the site.
The principle of the development in âzone sevenâ was established through the approval of an outline planning application and masterplan for Elsea Park in 2001, before Bellwayâs involvement with the site.
