Positive rudeness. It s a concept written about by journalist Rebecca Reid, and it suggests that a woman be more assertive. Which, as a suggestion, isn t really that flawed. But as I read more about “positive rudeness,” one key message is becoming clear to me: nice women finish last. I ve read that being too apologetic, soft or nice is detrimental to women in the business world. And, ultimately, apparently women aren’t assertive enough, and try to soften requests by injecting words like “just,” “wondering” and “if you don’t mind.”

A devastating impact on the families involved : The lives loss in Dorset crashes in 2020 IN A year that was different for so many reasons, the sad reality is many lives were still lost following crashes in Dorset. Twenty-five people died after collisions involving vehicles across the county throughout 2020. A force spokesperson said their current records showed that 16 lives were lost in road traffic collisions in 2020. This figure does not include crashes on private roads/land and car parks, those due to a medical episode or incidents that are yet to be “validated”, with investigations still ongoing. These factors make up the remaining nine deaths.
Gymnastics: Dedicated Dublin Jerome Celtics seek more success

According to coach Kristen Willms, doing “whatever it takes” has been the focus for the Dublin Jerome gymnastics team this winter.
When practices were allowed for prep teams last summer, Willms immediately was impressed with the work ethic she saw from the athletes she works with in all three Dublin programs.
The Celtics have added a trio of freshmen with past experience in the sport and again are aiming high after making appearances at the state meet each of the past two seasons.
“We have a really good group this year,” Willms said. “The girls have been so dedicated. We did twice as many hours over the summer as we usually do to help them get back into shape and get their skills back on track. They have a really positive outlook and they really just want to compete. They’re willing to do whatever it takes to get to compete and we’ll be ready.”
