Almost every person in America has used a phone. Almost every person in Atlanta has used a phone.
And for many years, it was made possible with this one building.
Located at 25 Auburn Ave, right behind 25 Park Pl, the Bell Building is getting a $30 million renovation as it is being turned into a new headquarters for the National Institute for Student Success.
Built in 1907, the historic building has been through additions and multiple uses before being abandoned in the 1980’s. The Bell Building was originally built as a telephone exchange building for the Southern Bell company which eventually became BellSouth.

‘Deals of the Century’ to lead off yearlong celebration campaign
Regional grocer Coborn’s turns 100 in 2021 and plans to celebrate the milestone with special events and promotions throughout the year.
St. Cloud, Minn.-based Coborn’s said yesterday it plans to kick off its 100th anniversary campaign on April 11, starting with “Deals of the Century” in-store savings. Also planned are special appreciation events, employee activities, a recipe exchange, and a special commemorative website with content highlighting the history of Coborn’s including a timeline since its founding in 1921.
Currently, Coborn’s has nearly 9,500 employees and 59 supermarkets stores across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin under the Coborn’s, Cash Wise Foods, Marketplace Foods and Hornbacher’s banners. The company’s retail network also includes stand-alone convenience stores, liquor stores and pharmacies, for a total of about 130 outlets. Coborn’s operates
