But in the meantime if you are typically a driver that takes 880 in the morning, southbound direction all lanes shut down at 66. You will need to use an alternate. Chpall traffic getting off at 66. Big rigs can use 580. Heres a live look at the crash. You can see a lot of activity. Traffic on the left corner of your screen you can see starting to be diverted off at 66. So a big backup. Avoid 880 if you can. Northbound we arent seeing delays. Traffic is moving along right at the limit. Another accident shut down 3 of 4 lanes on northbound 101 at palo alto. They say the 32yearold man has a history of drug use and mental illness. We get more on the investigation from gavin romjohn. Reporter amateur Video Shows Police in melbourne arresting man shortly after the suv rammed into a crowd on a street thursday. At this stage we believe it is a deliberate act. Reporter Authorities Say more than a dozen people were taken to the hospital. Police say the driver a 32year old Australian Citizen of afghan descent has a history of drug use and Mental Health issues. But police say theres no evidence connecting the attack to terrorism. He is on a Mental Health plan and receiving treatment for a mental illness. Reporter Police Arrested another man. A 24yearold they say filmed the incident and was carrying a bag of knifes but at this point they dont believe the two men are connected. This is horrific. Its evil. Reporter the area near the citys main train station was filled with christmas shoppers when the suv and slammed into pedestrians crossing the road.
