As we come on the air tonight, more than 100,000 people are now in the hospital with coronavirus, pushing the countrys Healthcare System to the brink. Californias governor says i. C. U. Beds are filling up so fast there, he may soon have to shut down much of his state, ordering people to stay at home to try to stop the virus from spreading any faster. We talked to the cdc but thats the could not provide details this Northern California case, other than to say they will release more information either tonight or tomorrow morning. The cdc would not confirm Washington Post report that this is first case in the u. S. Of unknown origin. If it is, this Northern California case would raise new concerns about how exactly this new disease is spreading. About an hour ago, President Trump addressed the nation on this virus. Now, northbound 101, we are starting to see a few brake lights this morning as you work your way from that 280, 680 connector, thats where traffic is really starting to get a bit busy this morning. Looks like 280, though, still doing pretty good. South of there along 101 northbound, right at masten, a Motor Vehicle accident. The left lane is blocked and we are seeing a pretty decent delay behind it. Slowandgo conditions as you work your way through there. Injuries reported in this crash. One past that a bit of a break and tapping the brake lights again in morgan hill. Eastbound 380 connector towards 101, 280 southbound slow as well, roadwork reported there also. That is in the clearing stages. Overall 101 north of there headed into San Francisco, fairly quiet. Looks like traffic is moving pretty nicely on surface streets if you want to use san bruno avenue instead of 380 until they clear that.
